Naseej Hay (نسيج حي) is another KW experiment, in how to partner with fellow ecofeminist groups and bring our different skills together, as well our ongoing explorations of ecofeminist topics.
This workshop, collaboration between Masbough/a collective and KW, spanned over 5 months (June-October 2025). It connected the craft and practice of natural textile dyeing and creative personal writing. Mona Ayoub facilitated the dyeing aspect of the workshop, while Ahlam Dirani facilitated the creative writing/reflection component.
The aim of this workshop was to collectively practice the craft of natural textile dyeing while archiving the practice through different exercises. During our monthly meetings and our shared practice, we opened a space to discuss ecology, collective labor, sustainability, and politics. In October 2025, we held an open film screening related to the topic of this workshop, thus bringing together different media within our closing day. At the end, the participants produced powerful written pieces, as well as inspiring and creative final projects which they presented to the group during the closing session.
