Restoration and Reciprocity in Lifetimes of War: A conversation with Robin Wall Kimmerer

February 2, 2026

KW ended 2025 with a conversation with one of the most well-known contemporary indigenous writers, Robin Wall Kimmerer. Given how much we engage with her work, and that we’re starting to see more people around us impacted by her words, we wanted to give our communities the opportunity of interacting with her more intimately.

On December 4, 2025, in one of the most beautiful gatherings we are proud to have organizers, we had a heart-nourishing (online) conversation with Kimmerer about the possibilities of restoring/re-healing a land and relations damaged by genocidal violence and lifetimes of war. The conversation steered towards the importance of oral histories, and that despite the very different contexts across continents, we always listen to what the land is telling us it needs, so that we enter a process of listening and experimenting together in the process of recovery, where healing is possible.
